An English solid oak bobbin chair. Upholstered in a subtle gold upholstery. An attractive design that would work well as an accent chair in a variety of interiors.
The chair has been professionally cleaned with an upholstery machine and has come from a smoke and pet free environment. The fabric is in great condition throughout and shows hardly any wear. The frame has been cleaned and waxed. Overall it is in great condition with a nice amount of wear and patina throughout.
Unfortunately the frame of the chair does have some movement in the joints, but it is perfectly useable if the user is gentle with it. The worst movement is side to side, and therefore doesn’t affect its use that much. The chair does feel solid when sat in. There is some evidence of somebody having attempted to repair the joints externally as some holes have been drilled and filled. Please see images. We have a video of the movement which we can send over to any prospective buyers before purchase.
Measures 59cm wide, 64cm deep and 96.5cm high, all taken at the widest points. The seating area is 37cm wide, 48cm deep and 51cm high.
As with all our items, they have already lived a 50 year plus life. You should expect to find marks and signs of age to match. Any major defects or noteworthy marks are always shown in photographs, but there will more than likely be other small marks not pictured.
