Mid 20th century low extending sideboard by Danish furniture manufacturer Langeskov Mobelfabrik. Consisting of two large parts, the top extending part simply sits atop the main body and can be pulled out to make the unit extending to almost double its length, it can also be used as a corner unit if the top part is positioned at a 90 degree angle. Originally designed as a media unit, with space for vinly’s and ample cupboard space for other items, it also features a single drawer above the record storage. The single sliding door can be positioned anywhere along the front of the unit to expose or conceal whichever part you choose. There are two factory cut holes in the back of the unit to allow for cables to pass through as well. Overall a simple yet stylish unit for your living space.
We have cleaned and waxed the entire unit, and cosmetically it is in great condition, with just a few minor marks throughout as you would expect with something of this age. The main point to note is that the unit does suffer from sun damage throughout. To a point it has actually been bleached to an even amount throughout but there are some areas that are noticeable. Particularity on the end of the extension piece. If the top extension piece is removed then an obvious darker patch can be seen. Please see the images.
