A set of four mid century chairs in the style of the iconic Philippe Starck ‘Costes’ chair. These were produced by a company called ‘Poplar’ of Leeds. Crafted from a single piece of bentwood ply for the main body and raised on a steel tubular frame. Finished with a vinyl seat. The seat pads are removable and could easily be recovered if you wish.
We have cleaned and waxed each chair and they are offered in original condition. The chairs have been used and do show lots of age related wear and tear throughout. There are some marks on the plywood edge where each chair has come into contact with a table, as well as various other marks to the wood and metal frames. The vinyl seats are in very good condition, but unfortunately one does have a small nick in the top surface. Please review the images. All chairs are structurally solid and ready for many more years use.
Measurements - 49cm wide, 42cm deep and 87cm high. All taken at the widest points. The seat height is 49cm.
