Printers Tray by Stephenson Blake & Co
Stephenson Blake & Co was a world-renowned Type Foundry based in London and Sheffield. This single tray would have come from a bank of drawers used to store different fonts for a printing press, this particular tray still has the original label on the front. Very high quality tray complete with all the original brass corner pieces.
We have painstakingly cleaned all of the individual sections of the tray, lightly cleaned the brass corner pieces to retail their patina and given the outer frame a fresh coat of beeswax polish. Overall it is in very good vintage condition with a great patina throughout. There are lots of age related marks and wear throughout. Some heavy wear on the underneath. Please review the images.
